Kendall Cliffs Climbing Gym is Ohio's first professionally designed indoor rock climbing facility, established in 1998 as a family-owned business. The gym features 7,000 square feet of climbing surface with walls made of textured plywood and natural rock, resurfaced in 2019 with vibrant colors. The facility's most distinctive feature is a 35-foot-high arch that traverses the entire building span. Climbers can pursue top rope and lead climbing on routes of varying difficulty, from novice to advanced levels. The gym also includes a large bouldering cave designed for training technical moves. Visitors can belay with a partner or use TruBlue auto belays. Kendall Cliffs offers belay and lead climbing courses taught by trained staff members, making it suitable for those learning to rock climb. The gym hosts birthday parties, youth groups, scout events, corporate gatherings, and lock-ins. Located in Peninsula next to hiking trails at Cuyahoga Valley National Park, the facility sits adjacent to Appalachian Outfitters.
