About Kendall Cliffs Climbing Gym

Kendall Cliffs Climbing Gym features a distinctive 35-foot-high arch traversing the span of the building, creating Ohio's first professionally designed indoor rock gym with 7,000 square feet of climbing surface. The facility combines textured plywood and natural rock surfaces across walls resurfaced in 2019 with a fresh color palette. Visitors climb using top rope or lead climbing techniques, with the option of belaying with a partner or using TruBlue auto belays. A large rock bouldering cave allows climbers to practice technical moves. The gym offers belay and lead climbing courses taught by trained staff members for those learning to rock climb. Special events including birthday parties, youth group gatherings, scout events, corporate team building, and overnight lock-ins can be scheduled. Located in Peninsula next to the Ledges and Kendall Lake hiking trails within Cuyahoga Valley National Park, the gym sits adjacent to Appalachian Outfitters, which carries climbing equipment.
