Johnstown Historical Society preserves the stories and places that shaped American ideals, from the Revolutionary War through social reform movements. Visitors explore the Johnstown Historical Museum, where artifacts, photographs, and exhibits trace the community's evolution from colonial roots to civic milestones. The Drumm House, built in 1763 under Sir William Johnson's direction, offers a window into colonial life and early education. James Burk's Inn, which began in the Revolutionary era and later served as the Younglove Homestead and DAR Chapter House, documents decades of community change. The Colonial Cemetery preserves headstones spanning centuries. The society, founded in 1892, maintains these three historic sites and offers school programs grounded in local history, archival research access, and public events throughout the year.
