About Chapman Museum

Chapman Museum occupies a red brick Victorian building in Glens Falls, where visitors explore changing seasonal exhibits about the region's history from the French and Indian War through the 20th-century Adirondack era. The museum features 19th-century photographs by Seneca Ray Stoddard showing the timber industry and early tourism, hands-on displays about everyday hometown life, a research archive, and a gift shop. Staff-guided tours run Thursday afternoons. Families and friends browse exhibits together, sharing memories while learning how people in the Glens Falls-Queensbury area lived, worked, and played. The museum opens Tuesday through Saturday mornings into afternoon, plus Sunday afternoons. Children under 12 receive free admission, as do museum members, veterans, and active duty military.
