About Tang Teaching Museum & Art Gallery

Tang Teaching Museum & Art Gallery is a free art museum on the Skidmore College campus in Saratoga Springs where visitors explore contemporary exhibitions and engage with artworks across its galleries. The museum rotates more than a dozen exhibitions each year, with recent shows including Mark Thomas Gibson: We Are A Constellation, Sheila Pepe: When & Where We Rest, and Inked: Stigma, Otherness, and Art. Trained Tang Guides staff the galleries to answer questions and help visitors understand the work on view. The museum hosts family programs including art-making projects, Town Crier performances, and lectures through its events calendar. Visitors can explore the permanent collection, attend symposium lectures, or participate in interdisciplinary programming designed to connect contemporary art with ideas across many subjects. The building features multiple gallery spaces that function as exhibition halls, performance venues, and spaces for collaborative learning. A visit suits anyone curious about art and human experience, from school groups to families with children to adult learners seeking deeper engagement with visual culture.
