About World Awareness Children's Museum

World Awareness Children's Museum houses over 8,000 artifacts and 7,000 pieces of international children's art from 140 countries, displayed in seven hands-on exhibit areas including the World Gallery, Home & Family Life, Animal Preserve Research Center, World Music, Textile Marketplace, World Fashion, and Art Studio & Gallery. Visitors create their own travel adventures using discovery guides, design crafts to take home, play games, hear stories, and participate in puppet shows and dance activities. The museum offers programs tailored to New York State curriculum standards, exploring geographic regions and cultural topics such as celebrations, nature, sports, and traditions. Educational programs are designed for all ages from infants through seniors and can be held at the museum or at group sites. Programs like Kinder Rhythm, Storytime, and Kinder Krafts run throughout the year. The museum is located in downtown Glens Falls and operates on a seasonal schedule with varying hours.
