About Imaginarium of South Texas

The Imaginarium of South Texas is a children's museum in Laredo where families learn through hands-on exhibits and interactive activities rather than traditional displays behind glass. Visitors engage with featured exhibits designed to encourage inquiry-based learning, creativity, and individual expression. The museum offers field trips, camps, and programs tailored to different ages and interests. Birthday parties and special events are also available for group celebrations. Since opening in 1991, the Imaginarium has served families throughout Webb County, South Texas, and Northern Mexico with bi-cultural learning experiences that explore the natural environment and the arts and sciences. The museum is built on the philosophy that children learn best by doing, providing a safe space where young visitors can think, imagine, design, invent, and create using intelligent materials and tools.
