About The 1904 Train Depot Museum

The 1904 Train Depot Museum preserves the railroad history that founded Kingsville. Visitors explore how the St. Louis, Brownsville, and Mexico Railroad connected the region to Corpus Christi and Brownsville, bringing settlers and commerce that built the city. The beautifully restored depot building houses custom signs and railroad emblems from the era, dining car place settings from the golden age of passenger travel, employee and promotional publications documenting the railroad's growth, and lanterns and tools used by railroad workers. An operational telegraph functions as a working piece of living history. Family stories of settlers who rode the rails to establish ranching and farming legacies are displayed throughout. The museum offers comfortable seating, air conditioning, and public restrooms. It is located at 102 E Kleberg Ave in downtown Kingsville, steps from specialty shops, the King Ranch Saddle Shop, and Harrel's Drug Store. General admission is free.
