About Historic Corron Farm

Historic Corron Farm is a 221-acre heritage property in St. Charles where visitors explore the farmstead settled by Robert Corron in 1835 and experience the agricultural history of Campton Township. The site centers on a Greek Revival home built in 1854, historic farm buildings, and restored native prairie featuring tallgrass, wetland, savanna, and woodland. The farm operated as a dairy for over 160 years, supplying milk to the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago, and is listed on both the National Register of Historic Places and the Kane County Register. The Corron Farm Preservation Society hosts family-friendly events throughout the year that offer leisure and educational opportunities. Visitors walk the grounds to learn about the Corron family's contributions to settlement and early township agriculture. The property reflects Campton Township's Open Space Program, which acquired the site to protect farmland, historic landmarks, scenic features, and wildlife habitat for future generations.
