Hidwell Family Farms, LLC is a farm park established in 1988 that offers visitors hands-on experiences with farm activities and attractions. The main draw is the Barrel Train Ride, a tractor-pulled attraction that takes guests on a tour around the property. Visitors board the barrel cars and remain seated throughout the ride while traveling through the farm landscape. The farm hosts seasonal events and activities that draw families looking to experience rural life and farm operations. The property is located on Blaney Franks Road in Apex, North Carolina. The farm publishes visiting hours and event information on its website, allowing guests to plan their trips in advance. Admission is charged, with the farm publishing its prices online. The Barrel Train Ride has specific participation rules, including weight and age requirements, designed to ensure rider safety during the experience. The farm operates as a family-friendly destination where visitors can engage directly with farm-based recreation.
