About Hayward Japanese Gardens

Hayward Japanese Gardens is a public garden in Hayward, California that visitors can explore during daily operating hours. The garden features traditional Japanese landscape design and is located next to the Hayward Senior Center on North Third Street. The grounds include parking and restroom facilities for public use. The Japanese Gardens also serves as a wedding and ceremony venue available for rental during evening hours, with a maximum capacity of 50 guests. Rental requests require advance notice and must be submitted through the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District. District residents can receive a discounted rental rate upon presentation of proof of residency. The garden remains closed on certain holidays throughout the year.
