About Greensboro Science Center

The Greensboro Science Center combines a zoo, aquarium, and museum in one destination where visitors explore exhibits and encounter animals hands-on. The facility features the Wiseman Aquarium, where guests view aquatic life, alongside zoo animals and interactive displays. Additional attractions include SKYWILD, Revolution Ridge, the Rotary Carousel, and the FLYWAY Zipline, each offering different ways to engage with the natural world. The center also hosts special events throughout the year, from Red Panda Day to seasonal celebrations. A five-story Biodome called Expedition Rainforest is under development, designed to immerse visitors in a tropical rainforest ecosystem while serving as a breeding center for species like sloths, toucans, and clouded leopards. The accompanying Aquatic Rehabilitation and Conservation Center will focus on animal care and conservation. Founded in 1957 and accredited by the American Alliance of Museums and the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, the center operates daily in Greensboro, North Carolina, offering experiences suited to visitors of all ages seeking discovery and connection to the natural world.
