About Golden State Model Railroad Museum

Golden State Model Railroad Museum features operating model train layouts across 10,000 square feet in Richmond, where visitors walk along more than 200 feet of public pathways to watch detailed freight and passenger trains in O, HO, and N scales. The layouts represent Northern and Central California scenery, with trains running from the steam era through modern diesel locomotives. Children have ample room to move around and follow the trains throughout the museum. A family visiting together pays one discounted admission price, while children under four enter free. Individual admission tickets are sold at the door, and the museum accepts cash and major credit cards. The museum is located at Miller-Knox Regional Shoreline, an East Bay Regional Park District facility in Point Richmond. Families find verified admission savings through the family pack pricing available at gsmrm.org.
