Fort Lowell Museum tells the story of soldiers and families who lived at this U.S. Army fort between 1873 and 1891, located at the confluence of Tanque Verde Creek and Pantano Wash. Museum displays present the daily lives of military residents alongside the history of the Apache of the region and the Apache Wars. Exhibits also cover the Hohokam village that occupied the Hardy site. Visitors can view historic demonstrations and participate in hands-on activities throughout the park. Kids Activity Hour offers themed crafts, stories, and hands-on activities designed for families with children. A park-wide scavenger hunt challenges visitors to locate money from the 1889 Wham payroll robbery using provided clues. The museum charges admission and publishes its prices online. It is located in Tucson, Arizona, and operates Thursday through Saturday with hours published on its website.
Hours: Thursday-Saturday, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
