About Fenton History Center

Fenton History Center is a museum housed in an 1863 Italian villa mansion and operates a research center, library, and archives in the adjacent Hall House in Jamestown, New York. Visitors tour period rooms including the Fenton Drawing Room, Fenton Dining Room, and Fenton Family Parlor while exploring permanent exhibits such as Made in Jamestown: How Furniture Built a City, the Military Room, Evolution of Children's Toys, and Intersections: The Underground Railroad in Chautauqua County. The museum also features a Nanny and Children's Room, Swedish Room, Lookout Tower, and a dedication to Lucille Ball. The Hall House Research Center holds library materials and archives for genealogy research and detailed historical study. Walk-in visitors use an informative guide booklet to tour at their convenience, while group tours are available by appointment. The museum operates Monday through Saturday and the research center Monday through Friday. Both locations offer free parking and are connected by a private redbrick walkway.
