About Drake Family Farms
Drake Family Farms is a family-owned goat dairy in Winchester, California that produces artisan farmstead goat cheese and goat milk soap. The farm maintains a herd of Saanen, Nubian, and Alpine dairy goats, each with its own name. The operation is Certified Humane, with goats housed in open facilities featuring both indoor and outdoor areas. Visitors can stop by the farm store and goat petting zoo on Saturdays. The farm also sells pasteurized and raw goat milk, goat milk kefir, goat cheese in varieties including Chèvre, Feta, soft blooming mold-ripened, and aged semi-hard cheese, plus goat milk lotion. The goats are fed alfalfa hay, Bermuda grass hay, tree browse, and barley grain. The farm was founded in 2010 and is overseen by Dr. Dan Drake, a veterinarian who graduated from UC Davis. Farm tours are offered several times yearly as special events.
