About Giddy Up Ranch
Giddy Up Ranch in Phelan offers camel rides, pony rides, and petting zoos featuring farm and exotic animals. Visitors interact with ponies of various sizes and breeds, Bactrian and dromedary camels, donkeys, llamas, alpacas, zebras, yaks, mini highlanders, and miniature Zebu cattle. The ranch also houses goats including Lamancha, milk, and Nigerian dwarf varieties, along with exotic sheep, pot-belly pigs, tortoises, parrots, mules, and numerous rabbits and poultry such as Polish crested chickens and Chinese silky chickens. Lead-around pony rides and open-ring pony rides are available, as are pony sweeps featuring live ponies with saddles, halters, and colorful matching pads arranged in a carousel format. Visitors can wear Western attire for photographs with animals. The ranch has operated since 1989 and accommodates birthday parties, school carnivals, and other events. Experiences suit those seeking close contact with a diverse animal collection.
