About Doors of Divergence Escape Room

Doors of Divergence Escape Room is an immersive entertainment venue in Charlotte where visitors solve narrative puzzles while professional actors engage them in branching stories that respond to choices made in real time. The facility operates two episodic experiences: Heresy: 1897 and Madness: 1917. In Heresy: 1897, guests investigate the experiments of Edmond Cavanaugh within his manor, encountering powerful elixirs, forgotten demons, and experiments involving the nature of life itself. Different rooms and stories open depending on visitor choices. Madness: 1917 combines immersive theater with escape room gameplay, set in the decaying halls of Hollow Grove where a supernatural narrative unfolds. Each playthrough changes drastically based on prior decisions. The shows feature meticulous set design, interactive characters, state-of-the-art technology, and immersive light and soundscapes designed to transport visitors to another reality. Choices made across episodes permanently alter subsequent chapters, creating multiple unique story arcs. Tickets are sold online through the venue's website.
