Demases Farm is a fruit and vegetable farm in Boyd, Texas, where visitors pick their own strawberries fresh from the plant and shop for seasonally grown produce. The farm has operated in North Texas for over a century, beginning in 1919 when Greek immigrant James Demases established it in Tarrant County before relocating to fertile Trinity River Bottom Land in Boyd in 1987. The farm stand sells fresh vegetables including kale, collards, mustard greens, turnips, beets, carrots, squash, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, peas, beans, watermelons, cantaloupes, and strawberries, along with milk from Circle N Dairy, eggs from Windview Chicken Ranch, and homemade pickles and jams. Produce changes seasonally based on what grows well in North Texas soil. The pick-your-own strawberry experience brings families together to harvest berries directly from the plants, creating a hands-on farm experience away from screens and distractions.
