About Crawford Auto Aviation Museum

The Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum in Cleveland depicts the history of transportation through over 170 antique automobiles, 12 aircraft, motorcycles, bicycles, boats, and carriages and sleighs. Visitors explore how Northeast Ohio became a crucial hub in the transportation industry by examining these vehicles and artifacts on display. The museum's collection showcases automobiles at various stages of development on both national and regional levels, with centerpieces including rare and restored vehicles maintained by staff and volunteers. The museum began as an effort to preserve historical vehicles from being scrapped. Part of the collection is on view in University Circle, while additional vehicles are maintained at a facility in Summit County. Museum staff and volunteers also travel to car shows and concours events across the United States to exhibit pieces from the collection in other communities.
