BK's Reptiles and Zoo in Grover Beach houses over 50 reptiles, amphibians, insects, and lorikeets in an interactive facility focused on hands-on animal experiences. Visitors can hand-feed water turtles live worms in the turtle pond, hand-feed giant Sulcata tortoises, and walk into the Lorikeet Paradise aviary to hand-feed nectar-loving lorikeets that land on guests as they drink. The zoo combines a walk-through reptile collection with these separate feeding activities, allowing guests to observe and interact with the animals throughout their visit. The facility is locally owned and operated by Andrew, who has bred reptiles professionally and worked twelve years at a major reptile manufacturer before establishing BK's Reptiles and Zoo.
