About Big Bear Alpine Zoo

Big Bear Alpine Zoo in Big Bear Lake features native wildlife in natural habitat exhibits, with daily behavioral enrichment programs included in admission that showcase animals' species-appropriate behaviors through exhibit design, keeper training, and food-related enrichment activities. Visitors explore habitats featuring mountain lions, bobcats, and other alpine species while observing how the zoo uses enrichment to promote natural behaviors. The zoo offers group tours that can be scheduled in advance and special events throughout the year including Ice Cream Safari, with some events requiring additional fees beyond general admission. Children ages two and under receive free admission. Active duty or retired military personnel with valid ID pay $12 for admission instead of the regular price. Free parking is available.
