About Big Bear Queen Lake Tour

Big Bear Queen Lake Tour operates narrated sailings past Boulder Bay and the Eagles Nest, where local bald eagles Jackie and Shadow make their home. Captain Chris Bellows, who has owned and operated the boat since 1989, guides passengers through Big Bear Valley's Gold Rush history while pointing out the Big Bear Solar Observatory, the China Islands—the valley's first vacation home—and celebrity residences along the shoreline. Visitors also learn how the 1884 dam created the man-made lake and explore Grout Bay near the town of Fawnskin. The boat departs daily at 11:00AM, 1:00PM, 3:00PM and 5:00PM from Pine Knot Marina, within walking distance of Big Bear Village. Pets are welcome aboard. Children under 3 sail free, and children ages 3-12 receive reduced admission at $23.98, down from the regular $35.97 adult price. Current rates are posted at bigbearqueen.com.
