Big Bear Carriages offers horse-drawn carriage rides through Big Bear Lake, California, operating a covered limousine carriage that accommodates up to ten people from midday to early evening on a first-come, first-served basis. Three tour options are available: the Village tour, a twelve-minute ride through The Village shopping district; the Lakeside tour, a twenty-five-minute route through The Village and along Big Bear Lake; and a one-hour tour covering three and a half miles through The Village, along residential lakeside streets, and out to Lagonita Point and back. The company maintains six horses on its Big Bear Valley ranch, including Clydesdales and Percherons. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The carriage stand is located in The Village shopping district at the corner of Pine Knot Avenue and Pedder Road. The business accepts cash and major credit cards, Venmo, PayPal, and Apple Pay. Reservations are available for weddings and special events.
