Asheville's Family Friendly Haunted Trail at the Adventure Center of Asheville is a Halloween festival that combines a 20-scene live-action haunted trail with over 50 actors and numerous activities designed for children. The trail features Halloween classics including a circus scene, dancing aliens, a western scene, an enchanted forest, a mad doctor, and a graveyard ball, all designed without bloody or gory content. Visitors encounter scenes with barriers rather than actors who chase or touch guests. Beyond the main trail, the festival includes Pirates Cove with a 30-foot pirate ship escape room, an aerial glow trail with illuminated aerial courses, Area 50 Fun with an interactive cosmic dance party, monster-sized games, face painting, balloon art, a bonfire with s'mores, and a Lil' Ghouls area for younger children. Food and drink options are available on-site. A Sweet Peek Tour offered early in the evening allows nervous visitors to preview the trail before dark and before actors take their positions.
