About Grovewood Village
Grovewood Village in Asheville is a historic 11-acre arts and crafts destination adjacent to The Omni Grove Park Inn. Visitors explore working artist studios, browse American-made art and craft at Grovewood Gallery, which represents over 350 artists nationwide, and tour two museums. The Biltmore Industries Homespun Museum traces the history of a weaving enterprise founded by Edith Vanderbilt that became one of the world's largest handwoven wool producers. Asheville's only antique car museum displays vintage automobiles with wooden steering wheels and polished brass headlamps from the collection of local businessman Harry D. Blomberg. The village hosts special events, rotating exhibitions, and live craft demonstrations throughout the year. Visitors can attend free self-guided studio tours during designated weekends when resident artists open their spaces and demonstrate their creative processes. General admission to the village is free, with the grounds open daily. The site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
