About Adirondack Railroad

Adirondack Railroad operates scenic train journeys from stations in Utica, Thendara, and Tupper Lake through the Adirondack region. Visitors board trains at Utica Union Station to experience routes including the High Peaks Limited, an eleven-hour round trip through mountainous terrain, and the Gateway, a 5.5-hour journey to Old Forge showcasing fall foliage. The railroad also runs a Beer & Wine Train Series, a 2.5-hour excursion departing from Utica's Union Station north to Remsen Station, where passengers enjoy wine and beer selections while watching countryside pass by. The High Peaks Limited operates from both Utica and Thendara, with the Thendara route offering a 4.5-hour round trip to Tupper Lake. Bicycles travel free on trains when noted during booking. Tickets are sold online through the venue's website. The Adirondack Railroad, operated by the Adirondack Railway Preservation Society, serves families and visitors seeking historic rail experiences and scenic views across central New York and the Adirondacks.
