About Utica Zoo
Utica Zoo lets visitors walk through exhibits to see over 99 species of animals across 35 developed acres in Roscoe-Conkling Park. The zoo features lions, zebras, sea lions, primates, striped hyenas, Mexican spider monkeys, emus, and river otters in natural habitats. A Children's Zoo section and Wadas' Wild Play Park playground occupy the grounds alongside the older Wildlife Building, which houses reptile exhibits. Daily keeper talks at designated times offer presentations about animals at the exhibits. Visitors can rent strollers, access manual wheelchairs at no charge, and purchase food at the concession stand. The zoo runs animal encounters where educators introduce visitors to animal ambassadors, with photography packages available. Birthday parties and group visits are accommodated. The facility sits in Utica, New York, and charges admission at published rates that vary by age and group size. Parking is free, and the zoo opens most days throughout the year.
