About Yahn Planetarium

Yahn Planetarium at Penn State Behrend invites stargazers of all ages to explore the universe through immersive shows in a 55-seat astronomy theater equipped with advanced projectors and computer equipment. Visitors watch planetarium presentations designed for children ages five and up or general audiences ages nine and up, with Saturday morning showtimes available. The facility features exhibits including real meteorites, an Apollo space suit display, and solar observation equipment. Programs cover topics such as lunar science and exploration. The planetarium continues the legacy of the Erie Planetarium, which served the Erie community for more than fifty years. School and group programs are available by arrangement. The facility is located in Erie, Pennsylvania, as part of the School of Science complex at Penn State Behrend.
