About Erie Art Museum

The Erie Art Museum in downtown Erie invites visitors to explore contemporary and historical art across multiple galleries and exhibitions. Guests view rotating exhibits, including shows like Between Here and Elsewhere, and attend opening receptions and Gallery Night events throughout the year. The museum offers Access For All programs designed to welcome visitors of all abilities, with a downloadable social narrative available to help first-time visitors prepare for their experience. The complex also hosts Adaptive Art classes on a monthly basis. The museum occupies a historic Customs House building, currently undergoing preservation work to enhance its exterior. Located at the heart of Erie's cultural district near shops, dining, and other attractions, the museum is open Wednesday through Friday from 11 am to 6 pm, Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm, and Sunday from 1 pm to 6 pm, with hours published online. Parking is available on nearby streets, accessible via metered spaces or mobile app payment.
