Erie Art Museum houses gallery exhibition space where visitors explore rotating exhibitions and attend artist talks, like the Patricia Bellan-Gillen presentation. The museum offers hands-on classes including Intro to Special Effects Makeup, a six-week course where students ages 13 and up learn to create realistic injuries and theatrical makeup effects, receiving their own professional starter kit. Monthly Adaptive Art classes serve adults with disabilities. The museum also hosts Second Sunday programs and Access For All events throughout the year. Located at the heart of downtown Erie's cultural district between State and French Streets, Erie Art Museum charges admission, with prices published on its website. Active-duty military members receive free admission with military ID. Individuals and families with an ACCESS EBT card pay $2 per person, up to four people, with photo ID.
