About Presque Isle Lighthouse

Presque Isle Lighthouse in Erie, Pennsylvania preserves three historic light structures where visitors climb towers for views across Lake Erie. The Presque Isle Lighthouse features a tower climb and self-guided access to the house and grounds. Erie Land Lighthouse offers a separate tower climb and grounds access. North Pier Light is viewable during state park hours, though the tower is not open to the public. Visitors must be 44 inches tall to climb either active tower. Self-guided audio tours cover all three lighthouses by donation, requiring a personal device. Guided 40-minute tours of Presque Isle Lighthouse's house and grounds, ending with an optional tower climb, run on select days. Groups of eight or more can arrange visits with advance notice. The nonprofit operates as a museum dedicated to interpreting Erie's maritime history and preserving these structures for the public.
