About Erie County Historical Society at the Hagen History Center
The Erie County Historical Society operates the Hagen History Center, where visitors explore regional history through exhibits and historic buildings on two campuses. The main Erie campus features the Watson-Curtze Mansion, Wood-Morrison House, and an Exhibit Building. Current exhibits include Command & Courage: Oliver Hazard Perry, which covers the man, his family, legacy and heroism, and the Frank Lloyd Wright Field Office Museum, housing Wright's authentic San Francisco field office reassembled on the Erie campus in 2021. The Girard Campus includes the Yellow House, an elegant farmhouse on more than 130 acres available for weddings and events. The center also hosts cooking classes such as Great Gourds, where visitors learn to prepare seasonal dishes. A visit suits history enthusiasts and families exploring local heritage. The center charges admission, with prices published on hagenhistory.org. Children 6 and under are free, and EBT card holders pay $3 each for up to four people per card.
