About Tynkertopia, Inc.

Tynkertopia, Inc. is a nonprofit STEAM education center in Flagstaff where visitors of all ages play, invent, and explore hands-on learning. The center's motto is "Think with Your Hands, Learn by Doing." Guests engage in independent thinking, questioning, designing, building, and tinkering across various creative projects and exhibits. The facility serves kids, parents, teachers, and community members through open studio time filled with opportunities for experimentation and discovery. Tynkertopia partners with the US Department of Agriculture and St. Mary's Food Alliance to provide free nutritious meals to all children ages one through eighteen who visit. Founded by Dr. Alice Christie after more than fifty years of teaching science, technology, reading, and writing, the center welcomes between ten and sixty visitors daily. Tynkertopia also operates TynkerSpace, a workforce-focused MakerSpace for teens and young adults offering specialized workshops. The center is located in Flagstaff, Arizona.
