Twin Ponds East Arena in Harrisburg houses two NHL-sized ice rinks and one 45-by-85-foot rink where visitors skate during public skating sessions, learn fundamental skating skills through Learn to Skate programs, or train in hockey through Learn to Play Hockey classes for youth and adults. The facility hosts the Twin Ponds Figure Skating Club, an affiliate of U.S. Figure Skating, where members work toward skating tests and compete in qualifying events. Birthday parties take place in private party rooms, and the arena accommodates corporate functions, group outings, and field trips. On-site businesses include the Twin Ponds Cafe and the Sharpening Shack. The facility draws over 850,000 visitors annually through its combination of public skating, hockey and figure skating leagues, drop-in sessions, and private rentals. Twin Ponds also hosts trade shows and ice skating shows throughout the year.
