About Trutter Museum
The Trutter Museum & Murray Gallery at Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield showcases contemporary visual art through rotating exhibitions. Visitors view installations, sculptures, mixed media works and paintings created by emerging and established artists. Recent exhibits have featured works exploring Black identity and culture through layered imagery, cardboard constructions and symbolism, as well as interactive sculptures and games that blur boundaries between humor and social critique. The gallery space displays hand-crafted objects, wordplay installations and carefully constructed pieces inviting personal reflection.
