About Titan Missile Museum
The Titan Missile Museum in Green Valley preserves the last of 54 Titan II missile sites that stood on alert across the United States from 1963 to 1987. Visitors walk in the footsteps of Cold War crews through a 45-minute guided tour descending 55 stairs into the underground silo, where they see the control center and eight levels of the missile complex. A self-guided topside tour explores the surface facilities. The museum displays the technology behind America's largest nuclear warhead, which carried a 5,500-mile range. Originally classified as one of America's most secret military installations, the site is now a National Historic Landmark. Tours depart regularly throughout operating hours published on the venue's site. The museum suits history enthusiasts and those interested in Cold War-era military technology and strategy.
