About The Boyhood Home of President Woodrow Wilson

The Boyhood Home of President Woodrow Wilson offers guided tours through the restored 1860s manse where the 28th President, called "Tommy" by his family, spent formative years during the Civil War and Reconstruction. Tours operate Wednesday through Saturday at six posted times, with each lasting approximately 45 minutes and limited to ten visitors. Guests walk through the home's rooms to hear stories of the South's secession, wartime shortages, and defeat—experiences that shaped Wilson's later leadership during World War I. The National Historic Landmark also preserves the kitchen, carriage house, and historic gardens.
