About St Johns River Eco Tours

St. Johns River Eco Tours operates eco-friendly sightseeing boat cruises departing from Highbanks Marina in DeBary, Florida. Visitors board one of two vessels: the Naiad, a hybrid electric and gasoline catamaran designed to access areas larger boats cannot reach, or the Lady B, a 20-foot Sweetwater pontoon boat offering more intimate tours. Both are piloted by U.S. Coast Guard licensed captains experienced as nature guides. Two-hour narrated nature tours depart daily at 10:00am and 1:00pm, with specialized excursions available by reservation. Along the river, guests observe alligators, manatees, deer, raccoons, otters, bobcats, and nine-banded armadillos. The area supports abundant wading birds, swallow-tailed kites, sandhill cranes, and owls. Most of the adjacent land is state park or conservation property set aside by Florida Power and Light, offering views largely unchanged since explorer William Bartram visited in 1773. The location sits approximately 40 minutes from Daytona and Orlando. Tickets are sold online through the venue's website.
