About Sonoma Skypark 0Q9

Sonoma Skypark Airport is a public-use airfield located three miles south of downtown Sonoma, serving as an aviation gateway to Sonoma Valley. The airport hosts vintage and experimental aircraft, including homebuilt planes and restored classics that operate from the facility. Community events and youth programs centered on aviation take place at the skypark, including meetings of EAA Chapter 1268, also known as Sonoma Skycrafters, which convenes on the second Tuesday of each month with dinner and presentations on general aviation topics. Volunteers operate a hamburger stand on Saturdays from noon to 1:30 p.m., with proceeds supporting Young Eagles scholarships. The skypark serves as part of Sonoma Valley's disaster preparedness infrastructure, with emergency agencies conducting regular drills at the facility. Pilots using the airport have access to a self-fueling system, a pilot's lounge in the office, and a courtesy pickup truck upon request.
