Sonoma Ballooning

About Sonoma Ballooning

Sonoma Ballooning offers hot air balloon flights above Sonoma County wine country, where visitors float peacefully over rolling vineyards and golden hills at sunrise. Passengers stand in open baskets during flights lasting 45 to 60 minutes in the air, experiencing silent movement except for occasional burner sounds and direct connection with the landscape below. The experience begins with arrival at Sonoma Skypark, where guests meet their FAA-certified pilot, enjoy complimentary coffee or tea, and receive a safety briefing before watching the vibrant balloon inflate. Visitors then spend the flight drifting with wind currents while taking in panoramic views. The full adventure spans three to four hours and concludes with a celebratory post-flight champagne toast. Sonoma Ballooning operates both shared flights with eight to fifteen passengers and private flights for smaller groups. Complimentary hotel pickup and return transportation are available for most accommodations in Sonoma, Carneros, and South Napa. This attraction serves couples celebrating milestones, groups seeking wine country sightseeing, and first-time balloon riders.
