About Sonoma Botanical Garden

Sonoma Botanical Garden in Glen Ellen features the Spirit Guides exhibition, displaying large-scale sculptures of colorful hybrid animals throughout its woodland trails. Visitors take self-guided walks or hikes through Asian and California native plants, with options to picnic while viewing valley vistas. The Garden hosts seasonal programs including Sunday Funday, where families enjoy face painting, arts and crafts, family yoga, seed-planting activities, and lawn games. Winter programming features bonsai exhibitions presented by the Redwood Empire Bonsai Society, guided meditation hikes, and Hanami Strolls celebrating early-blooming magnolias, cherries, and camellias. Most visitors spend one to two hours exploring before closing time. The Garden sits on Highway 12 north of Arnold Drive. Adults pay seventeen dollars; seniors, youth, teachers, and active military receive discounted rates; children four and under enter free. Visitors with SNAP EBT cards and valid ID pay three dollars through the Museums for All program, according to sonomabg.org.
