About Solvang Trolley & Carriage Tours

Solvang Trolley & Carriage Company offers narrated tours through the European village of Solvang and the Santa Ynez Valley in horse-drawn carriages. Visitors ride in a 1915 replica Honen trolley, a Danish-style streetcar pulled by Belgian draft horses, traveling at a clip-clop pace past boutique shops, wine tasting rooms, Danish bakeries, international restaurants, and the town's windmills. The family-run business, now operated by the Orona family, has served Solvang since the 1960s and provides horse-drawn carriage services for various occasions. An on-site ice cream parlor features McConnell's Ice Cream, offering over 20 flavors of old-fashioned super-premium ice cream along with real fruit smoothies and classic soda fountain specialties like root-beer floats and banana splits. The attraction is located in Solvang, California.
