Ostrichland USA is a 32-acre farm in the Santa Ynez Valley between Solvang and Buellton, home to more than 80 ostriches and 70 emus. Visitors interact directly with these giant birds by feeding them from bowls, an activity described as a must-do experience at the farm. The property features multiple photo opportunities throughout the grounds and showcases the birds' distinctive behaviors and movements. Founded in the early 1990s by Colin Cooper, a South African with experience working with ostriches in Africa, the farm was eventually established in its current location as a public attraction. The facility operates as a working farm and educational venue where guests can observe and learn about these large flightless birds in a natural setting. The farm also includes a gift shop. Groups of 30 or more people should call ahead to ensure proper parking and preparation for their arrival.
