Shelby Farms Stables in Memphis offers horseback riding experiences through the forests and pastures of Shelby Farms Park. Visitors choose from several guided trail rides tailored to different ages and interests. A 20-minute pony ride suits the youngest riders, while a 30-minute ride through pastures or forest accommodates those 7 and older. The 1.5-hour trail ride, the venue's most popular option, takes riders ages 10 and up deeper into the park's forest. A 2-hour trail ride extends the forest experience for experienced riders. Private rides lasting one hour allow groups to ride together, and a sunset private ride offers a special-occasion experience during the coolest part of the day. All riders must weigh under 240 pounds and wear comfortable long pants with closed-toe shoes like boots or sneakers. Tickets are sold online through the venue's website.
