About Belz Museum of Asian and Judaic Art
Belz Museum of Asian and Judaic Art occupies 14,000 square feet across three permanent galleries in downtown Memphis, Tennessee, where visitors examine nearly 1,000 objects from the private collection of Jack and Marilyn Belz. The Main Gallery displays the Judaic Section with pieces including an original work by Jack Belz, while the Tusk Gallery and Imperial Retreat Gallery showcase Asian artworks, predominantly from China's Qing Dynasty. The museum is unofficially called the Jade Museum for its extensive jade sculptures. Guided tours cover the Asian collection, Judaic Gallery, and Holocaust Memorial Gallery. Group tours include the Emperor's Lunch option, and the Dynasty Room adjacent to the museum hosts private events with guided museum access available. The museum opens Wednesday through Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturday through Sunday from 12pm to 5pm. Children under 5 enter free; adults pay admission, with reduced rates for seniors and students. Admission prices appear on belzmuseum.org.
