About Sarasota Bay Explorers

Sarasota Bay Explorers operates eco boat tours from Sarasota that showcase the natural wildlife and ecology of Sarasota Bay. Knowledgeable marine biologists lead the cruises, where visitors watch for bottlenose dolphins, manatees, seahorses, starfish, pufferfish, and spoonbills. The Sea Life Encounter Cruise lasts one hour and forty-five minutes and focuses on the area's ecology and history while searching for resident dolphins and seasonal manatees. The Sarasota Sunset Cruise takes guests to Big Pass to observe sunset colors over the Gulf. Small group private charters allow visitors to design custom cruises for special events, while large group private charters accommodate up to forty guests and suit school field trips, family reunions, and work outings. The venue operates in partnership with Mote Marine Aquarium and Laboratory.
