The San Antonio African American Community Archive and Museum, known as SAAACAM, collects and shares the history and cultural heritage of African descendants in San Antonio and the Southwest. Visitors explore digitized and audiovisual exhibits telling the region's African American stories alongside those of Spanish, Mexican, German, and Canary Island populations. The museum hosts Story Time in the Park on the first Tuesday of each month at Yanaguana Garden, featuring stories and hands-on activities. SAAACAM Film Club screenings showcase documentaries exploring African American history and culture, including titles like "Black Indians: An American Story" and "We Want The Funk!" The Green Book Civil Rights Bus Tour takes visitors through San Antonio's historic sites. The organization also offers programs like the San Antonio African American Quilt Guild and community discussions at historic locations. SAAACAM operates in La Villita in San Antonio, Texas.
San Antonio African American Community Archive and Museum ("say-CAM") @ La Villita publishes its own offers, and when saaacam.org was last read, on , there was none.
The page stays here because the attraction is still worth knowing about, and because we keep checking. If a deal appears on their site, it appears here.
