About Saint Marianne Cope Shrine & Museum

Saint Marianne Cope Shrine & Museum honors the life and legacy of a canonized Franciscan nun through displays, artifacts, and audio-visual exhibits. Visitors explore the story of Saint Marianne, the first Franciscan woman from North America to be canonized, who served as a healthcare and education leader in central New York. The museum's second gallery houses a first-class relic of Saint Marianne within a specially made reliquary, offering a space for peaceful contemplation. This gallery also serves as a gathering space for Masses and presentations. The museum shop offers books, prints, cards, artwork, and jewelry created to share her message of respect and compassion. Educational programs through Empathy in Action teach visitors practices rooted in Saint Marianne's values of dignity and respect for every person. The museum is located in Syracuse, New York.
