About Ruby Falls

Ruby Falls is an underground waterfall inside historic Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Visitors descend 260 feet by glass-front elevator into the cave, then follow a guide-led walk along the scenic cavern trail to see the waterfall. The cave walk suits all ages and takes up to 90 minutes. Specialty tours include a Junior Caver Tour designed for families with children, a Lantern Tour lit only by hand-held lanterns for visitors age 10 and up, and a History Tour with early access for guests age 12 and older. Above ground, the park offers scenic overlooks with views of the Cumberland Plateau and Tennessee River, a zipline adventure through the treetops, and luxury treehouse lodging. The historic Ruby Falls Castle, built in 1929, contains a cafe serving casual meals and refreshments. Tickets are sold online through the venue's website.
