Plattsburgh State Art Museum holds the most complete collection of Rockwell Kent works in the country, displayed in the Rockwell Kent Gallery within Feinberg Library. The museum houses over 10,000 works spanning western and non-western art from ancient to contemporary periods. Visitors explore permanent collections in the main galleries, the Burke Gallery and Myers Lobby Gallery in the Myers Fine Arts building, and an evolving sculpture park distributed across campus. The "Museum Without Walls" program integrates curated artworks throughout the campus grounds as an aesthetic network. A changing exhibition schedule presents contemporary artists, traveling exhibitions, and faculty and student work. Researchers may contact the museum to view pieces not currently on display. The museum also sponsors public programs, publications, and a museum shop. Plattsburgh State Art Museum is located in Plattsburgh, New York, and serves both college students and the regional public.
Admission is free. The venue says: “There is no admission charge. Plattsburgh State Art Museum is free and open to the public.”
