About Kent-Delord House Museum

Kent-Delord House Museum, a white colonial house with green door and shutters on Cumberland Avenue in Plattsburgh, preserves the lives of the Delord family across two centuries through tours and programs. Visitors tour the 200-year-old building Tuesday through Saturday at scheduled times, viewing original furnishings from 1811, family portraits, dinnerware, books, and letters spanning three generations. The museum hosts workshops including cross-stitch instruction and 1812 costume programs held in the carriage barn. Educational lectures explore genealogy, early American portraiture, and the lives of notable women in Clinton County. The historic gardens and Secret Garden Tour invite exploration of the grounds.
